Manchester United: Solskjaer identifies perfect loan target
By Bence Bocsak
The Manchester United boss seems to have found the perfect player to bring in on loan to Old Trafford in the January transfer window.
There is a crisis at Manchester United. Whether you’d like to admit it or not, the club are on a steep decline.
Whilst there are some strong attacking players in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad and the defence is slowly taking shape, the midfield is rotten.
Much of the players at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s disposal are simply not good enough to wear the Red Devils shirt. Some might have been during their heyday but are now ageing veterans unable to keep up with the intensity of the Premier League. Others are wayward stars who somehow ended up making a name for themselves at the club with mediocre performances.
When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at Old Trafford he promised one thing. It was to return the Red Devils back on their perch and back to where they belong. A year on, that ambition is yet to have been fulfilled. The club are still a long way away from their arch rivals Liverpool and Manchester City and even the top four seems to be slipping away from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s grasp.
It is why the Norwegian has made it his utmost mission to revamp the United midfield in the January window.
The Red Devils seem to be on the verge of completing a deal for the exciting attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.
The Portuguese playmaker will be hugely pivotal in conjuring that creative spark in the United midfield but his sole addition will not be enough and Solskjaer knows this too.
According to the Manchester Evening News via the Daily Mail Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting yet another midfielder after Bruno Fernandes, in Atletico Madrid’s Marcos Llorente.
The 24 year old only moved to Atletico Madrid in the summer but has failed to break into their first team and Manchester Evening News claim that the Red Devils are looking to bring Marcos Llorente to Old Trafford on a ‘loan’ deal.
Marcos Llorente is highly rated having developed at Real Madrid’s academy. He could bring some life into the Manchester United midfield and as a loan deal there will be very little risk involved.
What do you think would Marcos Llorente be a good signing for Manchester United?
