Manchester United: Solskjaer set to complete world class signing
By Bence Bocsak
The Manchester United boss is on the brink of completing a world class signing in the transfer window which could transform the Red Devils.
Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world. Yet at times this season the Red Devils have not live up to that expectation. Often Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has huffed and puffed on the sidelines and the sight of his grimace has been far too recurrent.
The Norwegian boss has tried to veil his disappointment with forced smiles but it is evident things haven’t quite clicked into gear for the club’s former player at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not been helped by an inept and far too often amateurish board. Whilst the money has always been there to spend, the targets haven’t been names who you would expect the Red Devils to sign.
And that has led to a squad that is short of true genuine quality. The midfield looks flat and disorganised and the defence has often been hopelessly out of its depth. As a result Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have suffered some utterly embarrassing results.
That however might change very soon. In midfield the new signing of Bruno Fernandes seems imminent which will go a long way to ensure a spark of creativity.
Now it seems the defence will also be solidified in January.
According to Fabio Santini speaking on the Italian TV show Il Processo via the Daily Mirror Manchester United are set to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly. Santini declared that a deal ‘is all done.’
That will be music to the ears of the Red Devils faithful. While the addition of Harry Maguire has made the defence more solid, he is still in need of a partner of the same ilk.
Kalidou Koulibably could be the perfect candidate. The Senagelese defender is regarded as one of the best in the world and him and Maguire could potentially form one of the best ever centre-back partnerships in the history of the club.
What do you think would Kalidou Koulibably be a good signing for Manchester United?
