Who could wear the Manchester United’s number 10 shirt next?

Paul Pogba
The Frenchman would be Ed Woodward’s choice. Woodward would see this as a great opportunity for Manchester United to make even more profit on the Adidas deal.
Paul Pogba is currently wearing the number six shirt. Like he did at Juventus. What he also did at Juventus was switch to the number 10 when Carlos Tevez left. Now Zlatan Ibrahimovic has left, I can imagine Paul Pogba doing the same.
As much as this would be a great business move for Manchester United, the romantic side of me would like to see the shirt given to a British youth product. Simply because that gives them the opportunity to dominate for club and country.
Wayne Rooney wore the number eight shirt for United and England. And when he switched to number 10, he did so for both. Dominating for the Red Devils and England for years, eventually becoming both their all-time top goalscorers.
Pogba wears the number six shirt for France, so it would look odd to then switch to 10 for club. However, if this did happen, no doubt both Manchester United and Adidas would maximise the branding capacities of it. For weeks on end, you would see a new ‘Pogba10’ video circulating Twitter, as well as endless new hairstyles with the number 10 shaved in. Garth Crooks wouldn’t be happy.
