Don’t doubt Marcus Rashford!

For any of those doubting Marcus Rashford’s ability over the last few weeks, well, DON’T!

Perhaps it was more the Twitterati than any section of the media. Although, Dennis Wise did claim a couple weeks ago how the young English starlet might have to leave Old Trafford to get game time. Ignoring the fact that he had been injured other the last month.

Today demonstrated that his ability shouldn’t be questioned. I often say any player who has made it to the top level has the ability. It’s just other factors such as confidence, the timing of injuries, personal life, etc, that could affect their ability to remain at the top.

Rashford has proven he has so much ability. Devastating pace, a venomous strike and the intelligence to link play. But we often forget he is only 20. At such a young age he is going to have dips and troughs in form.

Therefore, Rashford needs patience. He may have a run of bad games, he may have a run of great games. But the important thing is to be patient with him. Let him grow and develop into a fine player without jumping down his throat everytime he plays below par.

Marcus Rashford will become more consistent with age. And I am quite excited for that moment. But the meantime, let’s just enjoy a Manchester United academy graduate and fan, prosper in the sacred shirt.
