Manchester United Preseason Tour: 5 Things Learned So Far
United’s first signing of the season, £30m center back Victor Lindelof from Benefica, hasn’t gotten off to, well, the best start for Manchester United.
He isn’t being labeled a flop — yet.
He hasn’t shown the same confidence on ball that first attracted the eyes of both fans and coaches alike, and some of his tackles thus far in the preseason have been downright awful.
But hopefully performances can only improve from here — for his and the team’s sake.
Obviously he’s young and made the giant jump from the Portugese league, to the largest club in the world. When you sign for the Red Devils you’re expected to perform. No questions asked.
And while Lindelof may just need time to acclimate to the spotlight, hopefully there aren’t any more of these challenges coming in the future.
