Lukaku to Manchester United?

According to Sky Sports News and ESPNFC, Manchester United has shoveled out a massive 75 million pounds for the striker. However, there has yet to be an announcement from the English clubs.

In his 37 appearances with Everton, he managed to tally 25 goals. In fact, he only lost out on the golden boot by four goals. Ultimately, Lukaku proved himself to be a prolific goal scorer. He attracted attention from multiple teams in the league; as well as outside the league.

Supporters around the globe witnessed United release Ibrahimovic from the club, but signing Lukaku will make up for the loss of the Swedish striker. To be completely honest, United needed a big signing this summer. Even with Ibrahimovic, it proved difficult for the team to score.

Lukaku’s impact

If Lukaku performs like this past season, it is likely that United can become big contenders for the title. With the midfield that the Red Devils have, it is likely that Lukaku could secure his first ever golden boot next season. Also, the Belgian has also played under Mourinho before, so it is possible that he will do well with his new club.

Last season, Manchester United saw a sixth place finish, but a Europa League trophy has secured them a spot in the Champions League. Additionally, this will be the first time in a while where Lukaku will be able to compete in European competition. Also, the 24 year old striker will be vital to success across Europe.

Furthermore, Pogba was spotted with the Everton man in LA, so it is entirely possible that Paul Pogba could convince Lukaku to put pen to paper.

This is good news for United because Pogba and Lukaku build chemistry playing small-sided games.
