Wingers

With the rumors surrounding Memphis Depay the wing is an area Manchester United could do with strengthening as Lingard is the only real one they have. Although comfortable coming inside from the left wing, Anthony Martial’s future lies in the number 9 roll. It’s much the same for the young English sensation Marcus Rashford.

Over the years United have probably been linked to most of the wingers in the world. Most recently Bruma’s name has been mentioned  again. Once destined for greatness, financial difficulties led sporting to sell him to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

It’s in Turkey where he’s slipped off the radar, but the Portuguese international has been putting in some good performances of late. At a fee rumored to be about £8 million the 22-year-old who is able to play on both wings, is happy to drive to the byline and past players could be a potential steal.

One thing Mourinho needs to be wary of is following Chelsea and City’s history of spending big money on players who are no better than the ones we have and fill in the gaps. To do this he needs to start to bed in his preferred players and look at who could bring the best out of them. Clearly playing Fellaini and Pogba has a negative effect. Pogba needs a player like Carrick behind him.

When all is said and done most of the rumors you read will not come to fruition, but one thing is for sure. It will be an interesting couple of transfer windows coming up.
