Another season is upon us and the pressure is on Manchester United and Ruben Amorim to bounce back following a nightmare past campaign. A 15th-placed finish in the league was worsened by a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.
There is an argument to be had that winning that competition would allowed United to gloss over the mess that the club was in both on and off the pitch. But the loss only further highlighted just how much work there is to do to restore the Red Devils' glory days.
Amorim and INEOS seem eager to be the ones to make a difference at Old Trafford and this summer's recruitment has enthused fans. A season-opening clash with Arsenal on Sunday (August 17) could be an indicator of just how succesful we will be this season.
With that said, Red Devil Armada have studied the squad, fixture list and data to try and figure what fans can expect to be achieved.
RDA's Man United 2025-26 season predictions
Premier League Finish: 6th

The transfer window doesn't close until September 1 so there's still a chance one or two new faces arrive at the club. If United can strike a deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba this could ignite a possible top five finish.
Judging the squad as it is we have an inkling that a sixth-placed finish could be on the cards because Amorim has a nice blend of experience and youth. He has also rooted out the problems such as Alejandro Garnacho.
Let's not forget that the Reds won't play European football midweek, giving them time to work on adjusting to Amorim's system. It could be difficult at times, especially the first three months due to a challenging run of fixtures but that frontline screams goals and enough for European qualification.
FA Cup: Quarter-finals
There is no real chance of predicting how United's FA Cup campaign will pan out because each round will be drawn. We could meet Liverpool in the fifth round or Accrington Stanley in the semi-finals. But if we get a reasonable run we see a possible quarter-final journey that just misses out on a Wembley trip.
Carabao Cup: Winners
This prediction stems from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City all being too busy challenging for the title in a four-way tussle until January. The Carabao Cup final comes in February and we think Amorim's young squad could spring a surprise and not only return to Wembley but pick up the trophy they won back in 2023.
Top Scorer: Bryan Mbeumo

This one is difficult to call because United have a new-look frontline boasting two of the Premier League's best scorers from last season. They also swooped for Benjamin Sesko who bagged 13 Bundesliga goals in the 2024-25 campaign.
Matheus Cunha was excellent for Wolves finding the back of the net 15 times in 33 games, helping Vitor Pereira's men stay up. But Mbeumo was a revelation on Brentford's right side, flourishing and sometimes producing performances that earned world-class shouts.
Mbeumo bagged 20 goals in 38 games and finished joint-fifth in the Premier League Golden Boot race. We expect the Cameroonian forward to pick up where he left off now at United although perhaps not reaching that number because he'll be sharing goalscoring responsibilities with Sesko and Cunha.
Player of the Season: Leny Yoro

If you watched pre-season including the players in training and during their downtime you'll have seen Leny Yoro looking right at home within the Red Devils' camp. The French defender joined last summer with INEOS beating Real Madrid to his signature.
Yoro sat on the sidelines for most of the first half of the season after sustaining a foot injury in pre-season. But when he returned to action he rarely put a foot wrong and now he's familiarised himself with Manchester and the Premier League we see him going up a gear.
A good example of a player who arrived from French shores and quickly became one of the league's top defenders is William Saliba. There are signs that Yoro, 19, is set to follow suit and if we are to have a good season he may need to be a shining star.
Young Player of the Year: Patrick Dorgu

Another United star who caught the eye during the pre-season tour of the USA was Patrick Dorgu. There were concerns over the Danish left-back adaption when he arrived in January, struggling to impress in the early stages of his Old Trafford career.
Dorgu was arguably the best performer while in the United States, a constant threat going forward and showing confidence in a team consisting of more experienced heads. He is one to watch and that starts on Sunday when he comes up against Bukayo Saka.
Best Newcomer: Matheus Cunha

While we tip Mbeumo to be United's top scorer next season, it's Cunha who we feel will have the biggest impact. The Brazilian will take up the left side of Amorim's attack and it's a partnership with Dorgu that is giving us optimism.
Cunha struck up a fine partnership with Rayan Ait-Nouri while at Wolves and that was key for his exploits at Molineux. We also expect him to be the top assister perhaps alongside Bruno Fernandes and hopefully hits double figures for both goals and assists.
Breakout Star: Diego Leon

This was a difficult one because you have many young Reds impressing at youth level including Gabriele Bancheri, 18, Jack Fletcher, 18, Chido Obi, 17, Bendito Mantato, 17, and JJ Gabriel, 14.
But there's little to indicate that they will be regulars come next season but Diego Leon is already being fasttracked into Amorim's first team. The 18-year-old officially arrived earlier this summer and has appeared during pre-season.
Leon looks raw but has a ton of potential and will likely operate as backup to Dorgu. We have a feeling he'll grow once he gets to grips with English football and could be the talk of Old Trafford come the end of the season.
