With his own Salah (or Mane), Ten Hag could unleash an unbearable Manchester United attack

Manchester United have struggle to be clinical with Joshua Zirkzee leading their attack, but they can easily be. The Dutchman is creating numerous opportunities, and Marcus Rashford, Amad Diallo, and Alejandro Garnacho must step up their game and score goals to ignite the Manchester United attack.

The inclusion of Joshua Zirkzee, Noussair Mazraoui, and Matthijs de Ligt in the Manchester United lineup has enhanced the performance of the Red Devils. When Manuel Ugarte and injured Leny Yoro take on significant roles, they will improve even more.

Watching Manchester United this season, it is evident that their performances have improved. They have a clear playing pattern and seem focused on dominating other teams. However, despite these impressive performances, they have failed to score goals when it mattered.

Zirkzee not scoring much

The Red Devils have struggled with their finishing; while they have generated opportunities, converting them has proven to be a challenge. Regrettably, Zirkzee has not fulfilled his role as a goal-scoring threat for the Red Devils.

As previously stated, the Dutchman has done everything exceptionally well, except for putting the ball at the back of the net. He seeks to be part of the buildup, desires to engage in link-up play (which he executes beautifully), and is developing a strong connection with the United wingers, particularly Rashford.

His style of play allows the United attack to generate numerous opportunities as he enhances their offensive efforts. However, the concern lies in the fact that while he excels at setting up goal-scoring chances, the question remains: who is he creating for when he himself should be finishing them?

There's a debate about whether Rasmus Hojlund should replace him, but if he does, how can you ensure that the United attack will consistently generate chances? Yes, Hojlund is a goal threat, but with Zirkzee, the United attack still has the potential to function effectively.

Zirkzee is just like Roberto Firmino

Jurgen Klopp relied on Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, and Mohammed Salah for his attack. That system did impress because Firmino was scoring goals left, right, and center. Mane and Salah's ability to capitalize on the numerous opportunities created by Firmino's exceptional playmaking skills was what made the system deadly.

For Manchester United's attack to succeed, their wingers must strive to be precise and position themselves effectively to score goals. Over the years, Mohammed Salah has demonstrated that one doesn't have to be a striker to top the goal-scoring charts; playing alongside Zirkzee would undoubtedly have been a rewarding experience for him.
