Since the deal was completed so long ago, it's easy to forget that Matheus Cunha isn't the only new signing getting ready to move to Manchester this summer. In this case, we're talking about new Manchester United left back Diego Leon.

The 18-year-old standout is saying goodbye to Paraguay and hello to United, as he'll be all set to join the rest of the club once pre-season training starts on July 7. Despite him still being a teenager, the expectations are high for Leon, as he's loaded with potential.

During an interview at the airport, Leon didn't hold back in letting everyone know how confident he is. He told reporters that there's no doubt in his mind that he'll stay with MUFC this season and he won't be loaned out. At the same time, Leon showed his humble side, making it clear that this move to the English Premier League is a dream come true for him:

LB Diego Leon has seen has dreams come true with Manchester United

You've got to love the mindset that Leon has ahead of this life-changing move. He's a young man who is moving halfway across the world to England, while also saying goodbye to his friends and family back home in Paraguay. This isn't easy for anyone, let alone an 18-year-old kid.

At the same time, this is exactly what Leon has been working so hard for. The EPL is the best league in the world and not everyone can cut it. That's why Leon is focused on making an early impact and fighting for his spot. He has sent a message to the other LBs currently on the roster, no doubt.

Manager Ruben Amorim is surely going to ease him into things this summer and he's not going to rush Leon into the starting 11 right away. However, the expectation is that his minutes are slowly but surely going to increase as the pre-season matches get into full swing.

Only time will tell if Leon can end up living up to the hype, but he's already saying all the right things to win the United fanbase over. This team has been needing guys with a hungry mentality - all signs are pointing to Leon bringing that kind of attitude to the dressing room.
