Manchester United aren't usually ones for copying other clubs but Newcastle United's Alexander Isak farewell should have been replicated. The Swedish striker made a hugely controversial deadline day move to Liverpool for a British transfer record £130m although Jurgen Klopp will likely still insist his former club 'can't compete' financially.
Isak had downed tools, refused to play for Eddie Howe's side, a club that granted him his break in the Premier League. He played a huge part in the Magpies' Carabao Cup triumph, scoring the winner in a 2-1 win over Liverpool in the final.
The Swede was similarly omitted from Howe's first-team over pre-season and at the start of the campaign as Ruben Amorim's 'bomb squad'. This was a group of players who were told to look for other clubs after either underperforming or showing a lack of professionalism.
Man United wrongfully wished the bomb squad well
While it's understandable that Manchester United would show class over the departures of players, that shouldn't have been the case for Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho. These are two children whose petulance caused their Old Trafford exits.
Garnacho did pen what looked to be an AI-composed farewell message on his Instagram, accompanied by a video. But the Argentine had already shown he had little respect for the club when he wore an Aston Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford's name on the back.
Sancho doesn't need much explaining other then he has done everything in his power to snub a permanent exit from a club he has subtly mocked while out on loan. Chelsea didn't even want to pay a £25m fee because he has been so adamant on continuing on his £275,000 per week wages while being known as the biggest flop in United's history.
The Red Devils media team need a talking to because they sent both Garnacho and Sancho good luck messages. That isn't how the fanbase feel about the duo who have been hugely detrimental for different reasons.

Newcastle did it right with Isak
Newcastle's media team meanwhile have shown ours how it's done regarding giving confirmation of a wantaway player's exit. They penned a short and sweet 37- word message which spoke volumes of how they feel he has behaved during his transfer saga. It read:
"Newcastle United can announce the sale of striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a significant British record transfer fee. The Sweden international joined the Magpies from Real Sociedad in 2022 and made 109 appearances in all competitions."

37 words. For the guy who scored the winner in the Cup Final.

Garnacho and Sancho, much like Isak, didn't deserve well-wishes because they similarly have acted poorly at the end of their United spells. Sancho still remains employed by the club because he reportedly insisted on turning down a permanent Villa move that would have seen Emi Martinez arrive in the opposite direction, per Fabrizio Romano speaking on GIVEMESPORT's Market Madness.
