Manchester United's winning streak is now over and, for one supporter in particular, that is bad news. On Tuesday night, the Red Devils required an impudent 96th minute equaliser from Benjamin Šeško to salvage a 1-1 draw with West Ham at the London Stadium.
Prior to this, Michael Carrick had won all four matches since succeeding Rúben Amorim as manager, overseeing victories against Manchester City, Arsenal, Fulham and then Tottenham. So, for one high-profile Man United fan out there, who we're sure you're aware of, he believed the wait to see Man United win five games in a row was about to end, but now the streak resets back to zero.
Given their abysmal performance in both domestic cup competitions, dumped out by Grimsby and Brighton, the Red Devils have only 12 Premier League fixtures remaining this season, returning to action at Hill Dickinson Stadium a week on Monday.
Manchester United's next 5 Premier League fixtures
- Everton (A). Monday 23 February. Kick off 20:00 (GMT).
- Crystal Palace (H). Sunday 1 March. Kick off 14:00 (GMT).
- Newcastle United (A). Wednesday 4 March. Kick off 20:15 (GMT).
- Aston Villa (H). Sunday 15 March. Kick off 14:00 (GMT).
- Bournemouth (A). Friday 20 March. Kick off 20:00 (GMT).
Manchester United's next five matches could be winnable, and may be their best chance of reaching that streak, considering they will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Liverpool at Old Trafford towards the end of the campaign.
It has been a long time since the Red Devils did enjoy five successive victories, as one individual's hair can testify, but how does this compare to their Premier League rivals?
How long has it been since Premier League clubs won 5 in a row?
The last time Manchester United won five-in-a-row is actually more recent than you may think. They last achieved this on 18 February 2024 at Kenilworth Road, with Erik ten Hag's team beating Newport County in the FA Cup, before league wins over Wolves, West Ham, Aston Villa and Luton.
So, how does that compare to the other 19 Premier League clubs?

Since Man United's most-recent five game winning streak, 13 Premier League clubs have achieved this feat, all doing so since the start of last season. Even Wolves, rock-bottom of the table, won five on the spin last April under VÃor Pereira, including a victory at Old Trafford.
Of top-flight ever-presents, Everton haven't won five in a row since the start of the lockdown season in 2020/21, so just be thankful you're not an Evertonian that guy! Thus, winning five in a row is not as unascertainable as Man United are making it look, albeit doing so in just the Premier League, with no Europe or cup commitments, is substantially more challenging. So, for haircut guy's sake, let's hope Carrick's team can get back on track at Bramley-Moore Dock a week on Monday.
