"But who is better?" - INEOS Told They Have the Answer to Revive Manchester United’s Glory Days

Despite Manchester United's rocky start to the new season, the club's ex-coach Benni McCarthy, who spoke to Super Sport, still believes Ten Hag is the best option for the club. Some believe the Red Devils are heading in the wrong direction with two wins, two draws, and three losses in the league.

There is a feeling that if INEOS wants to rescue Manchester United's season, they should remove Ten Hag and replace him with another manager who can give United the boost they require. Well, the Dutchman and United have not yet parted ways. If his departure was imminent, don't you think it would have occurred during the ongoing international break?

So, is it wise for INEOS to keep Ten Hag?

Benni McCarthy, who served on United's technical bench as part of Ten Hag's backroom staff until the summer, asserted that the Reds have the best tactician to return them to the top. He argues that only Pep Guardiola, who is unlikely to leave Etihad for Old Trafford, could improve the team's performance if not the former Ajax head coach.

"“People are always looking for answers like replacing the coach, but who is better than what they have? Unless Pep decides to change from Man City to go to United then maybe you will have a change in fortunes, but other than that, mate, I can’t see if there’s better than Ten Hag, man.”"

McCarthy, having worked with Ten Hag, must know one or two things that we, as fans and outsiders, do not. Based on his knowledge, he must be able to determine whether his former colleague's tactics have the potential to bring United back to its former glory days.

With the United decision-makers eager to support Ten Hag, fans may have little choice but to follow suit. At the start of the summer, United had the option of firing the manager; they assessed their choices and concluded that he was their best option. They even allowed him to revitalise his technical bench and add several top players to his squad.

So far, INEOS and fans have been patient with United, but Ten Hag, after the international break, needs to prove that he is capable of leading United back to glory.
