Manchester United finally speak up on the Antony allegations

Manchester United winger Antony is facing allegations by his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin for domestic abuse. Man Utd’s official statement is out now.

Brazilian winger Antony is an expensive signing for Manchester United. Since joining the club, he had some moments which would make a United fan optimistic about his success at the club. However, he failed miserably this season and his time is getting worse.

His ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin has brought allegations against him for domestic abuse. Sao Paolo police is investigating the matter as well as Manchester police. The start of the season couldn’t get any worse for Man Utd as this was the last thing Erik ten Hag wanted to happen.

The squad is already plagued with injuries and now if he can’t have the service of his favourite winger, it will surely be a headache for the Dutch manager. Also, he has fallen out with Jadon Sancho, a winger that he could have trusted on the right-hand side.

Apart from Sancho and Antony, he might go for Facundo Pellistri. Also, United fans were excited about Amad. But, his injury ruled him out of the opening part of the season. So, Ten Hag cannot afford to miss Antony because his squad is already depleted.

Manchester United breaks silence on Antony with official statement

Various organizations wanted to know the stance of Manchester United on this issue of Antony. The Brazilian national team has dropped him already. Man Utd suspended Greenwood for the same offence. But, Man Utd decided to make their stance clear with an official statement which says;

“Manchester United acknowledges the allegations made against Antony and notes that the Police are conducting enquiries. Pending further information, the club will be making no further comments. As a club, we are taking this matter seriously, with consideration of the impact of these allegations and subsequent reporting will have on survivors of abuse.”
