Rico Henry:

The most optimistic name on this list would be Brentford’s Rico Henry. Perhaps not by name but most certainly by importance. The fullback is integral to Thomas Frank’s side, having started 37 out of 38 Premier League games last season. He’s started this season in the same fashion so it would take a considerable transfer fee to bring Henry to Old Trafford, unlike Cucurella and Alonso.

The 26 year old is looking to break into Gareth Southgate’s England side for Euro 2024 next summer, therefore playing a bit-part role once Luke Shaw is fit again would not come across as very appealing for his career development. A move from the start looks unrealistic in all senses.
