Beşiktaş have agreed personal terms with Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, according to reports in Turkey.

Turkish media outlet Sporte Digitale reports that Bailly, 29, has agreed on personal terms to a three year contract with the Turkish side. It is now up to both clubs to agree a few, but Beşiktaş reportedly feel that no transfer fee would be the best solution for them.

The 29 year old has also attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, but nothing has materialised from that.

The Ivorian centre-back spent last season on loan to Ligue 1 side Marseille, and it has been no secret that United have been trying to get rid of the defender this summer. Eric Bailly was not on the pre-season tour in the United States but has been pictured at Carrington, which would indicate that he has been working separately from the first team.

He is not in Erik Ten Hag’s plans for the new season and United have been keen on moving surplus players on this summer to free up their wage bills. This news follows the impending departure of Harry Maguire, who will be moving to West Ham United after both clubs agreed a £30m fee for the English defender.
