Who are the top-five highest paid players at Manchester United currently?

3- Raphael Varane- £340,000/week
Another case of the player’s quality not being in question, but United’s outlay on him is. Varane joined United in August of 2021 and has made 59 appearances for the club. To put it in perspective, United have played 58 games this season alone.
Varane has been an addition to the list of injury-prone Frenchmen at Manchester United after Martial and the departed Paul Pogba.
His contract expires in 2026 when his already creaking body will have turned 33. For a player whose biggest strength has been his recovery pace, repeated injuries and advancing age spell trouble in his latter years. Discussions are already underway at United regarding a new centre-back as Harry Maguire, another player who’s overpaid but doesn’t feature (sums up United’s finances), looks to be on his way out.
With the direction Varane’s career is trending, United might soon need to replace him too.
