Inter Milan is reportedly preparing to offer €20 million to Manchester United for the transfer of Donny van de Beek. The Dutch midfielder, who joined the Red Devils from Ajax Amsterdam in 2020 for €40 million, has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford and has been linked with a move away from the club in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Inter Milan’s interest in Van de Beek has been fueled by the Italian club’s need to strengthen its midfield, with coach Simone Inzaghi reportedly a big supporter of the potential signing. Inzaghi has identified Van de Beek as a possible solution to the lack of depth in Inter’s midfield, which could be further depleted by the possible departures of Marcelo Brozovic or Nicolo Barella.

Van de Beek’s failure to get enough playing time under current coach Erik ten Hag has only added to speculation about his possible departure from Old Trafford. While he has not had the chance to showcase his potential, the midfielder’s past performances under Ten Hag at Ajax have generated interest in the transfer market.

Inter’s reported offer of €20 million for the 26-year-old could be seen as a golden opportunity for the Dutch midfielder to revive his career in Serie A. With the Italian coach’s support and the potential to play a key role in Nerazzurri’s midfield, Van de Beek could regain his confidence and form in a new environment.

The upcoming summer transfer window is expected to be a busy one, with several top European clubs looking to strengthen their squads. For the Manchester Giants, the potential departure of the midfielder could free up funds for the club to pursue other transfer targets and strengthen its midfield for the upcoming season.
