Manchester United look to beat Chelsea in Achraf Hakimi race

Manchester United is reportedly on the hunt for a top-quality right-back to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. According to recent reports by Football Insider, Paris Saint-Germain‘s Achraf Hakimi could be the ideal candidate for that position at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are keen to acquire a high-level player for the position and are reportedly willing to negotiate with the Parisians

The Moroccan international arrived at PSG in 2021 from Inter Milan, and has quickly proven himself to be a well-rounded player with great defensive and attacking skills. His speed and power, along with his ability to overlap on the right wing make him a valuable asset for any European giant. Furthermore, being only 24 years old, his youth and potential make him a promising signing for Manchester United.

Manchester United keen on signing a new right-back

Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag is reportedly dissatisfied with Wan Bissaka’s performance in the right-back position. Despite Bissaka’s solid defensive abilities, his offensive contributions are limited, and his ability to create chances is minimal. Hence, the arrival of Hakimi could potentially provide a solution to the team’s problems in this position.

In conclusion, the Manchester side are allegedly willing to engage in negotiations with the Ligue 1 giants to secure the signing of Achraf Hakimi, in order to strengthen their defence while also improving their offensive capacity. The addition of the Moroccan international would represent a future investment for the English team, given his young age and promising future.

Therefore, the Premier League club will attempt to finalize the deal in the coming days to secure their new guaranteed right-back as soon as possible. However, it is expected that his price will be high, with a market value exceeding 70 million euros. On top of that, Chelsea are also keen on bringing the talented right-back to Stamford Bridge but are struggling to figure out the financial means to sign the Superstar.
