According to Football Insider, Manchester United has been told that they could seal a £40m deal for Axel Disasi. The 25-year-old Monaco centre-back has been on the radar of several top clubs, including United, and is viewed as an affordable option to bolster their defence. Disasi has been a regular for Monaco since his arrival from Reims in 2020, and his performances have attracted attention from several European giants.

Erik ten Hag has reportedly made it a priority to strengthen his backline in the summer transfer window, and Disasi is among the options being considered. The Red Devils have already made significant signings in the defensive department, such as Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martínez, but Ten Hag is still looking for more options to add depth to his squad.

Disasi has two years remaining on his current contract at Monaco, which means that they have the bargaining power to negotiate a higher fee. However, United has been told that a deal in the region of £40m could be enough to secure the services of the young centre-back. This is seen as an attractive price tag for a player with such potential and performances.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will make a move for Disasi, but the club is actively scouting defenders and looking to bolster its options in the backline. They are expected to face stiff competition, but with a significant transfer budget at their disposal amidst a potential takeover by rich Qatari owners, United could be a major player in the summer transfer market. If the club decides to make a move for Disasi, it could be a wise investment for the future of the team’s defence.
