Erik Ten Hag is thinking about the future of Manchester United, and in that future, Amad Diallo is a key player for the squad. The right winger is having a great performance with Sunderland in the championship.

He has been loaned by United, until the 30th of June 2025, but his current efficiency with Sunderland, has not gone unnoticed by Ten Hag, and he is interested in bringing him back from the loan.

During his stay in Sunderland, Diallo managed to score 12 goals and deliver 3 assists in the 2.569’ minutes he is playing in FA Cup and Championship.

What’s his story at United?

Amad arrived at United in the 20/21 season from Atalanta. The cost of that transfer was $21,30 million, but with the lack of minutes and the low performance, the Red Devils decided that a loan was the best for his situation, so at the start of the season he was sent to Sunderland.

During his stay at United, Diallo manage to play 748′ minutes, divided between Premier League, FA Cup, and the Champions League. Helping his team with 5 goals and 1 assist in the 16 games he started as a starter or came on as a substitute in the second half.

Is it a good idea to bring Diallo back?

With all the injuries, Manchester United has, and the lack of performance from many wingers in the team, Amad could have his chance to show what he’s made of and crown with the red devils. And if he continues with this performance and style of playing, he could easily occupy, Jadon Sancho’s position, as he is very low for the expectation the club has for him. Also, with the outs of some players, he could make a spot in the squad, even if it is as a substitute to enter the second half.

Would you like him to remain at Sunderlans? Or do you want him back at United?
