Manchester United are keen on securing Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella this summer but face heavy competition from Manchester City.
Football Insider report that Erik ten Hag likes the 26-year-old a lot and wants to reinforce his squad with his talents. The Italian midfielder has a contract with Inter until 2026 and has been one of their top-performing players since joining them in 2020, having scored 17 goals and provided 41 assists in 166 appearances (via Transfermarkt).
Recently, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the Serie A giants have set £70 million price tag on Barella with both the Manchester sides along with Liverpool interested in his signing.

Barella is the latest name to be linked with a move to Man United with Borussia Dortmund‘s Jude Bellingham and Barcelona‘s Frenkie de Jong being named as the key transfer targets for the Dutch boss.
