AS Roma greenlight the sale of Manchester United target Tammy Abraham but only if the transfer bid is in the range of €80 million.

The 25-year-old is a wanted man in Europe but it will be very difficult to convince Roma boss Jose Mourinho to let his superstar leave. The Portuguese coach has made Abraham an undisputed starter this season, playing every single game so far, scoring seven goals and providing 5 assists in 31 appearances (via TransferMarkt).

Manchester United are in the market for a new striker. Anthony Martial has missed the majority of the current season to injury with new arrival Wout Weghorst yet to score a single goal in the 8 appearances he has had for United. Currently, winger Marcus Rashford is filling the striker’s role under Erik ten Hag but the Dutch boss is keen on bringing in a new face in the next transfer window.

Tammy Abraham will cost Manchester United €80 million

Abraham has been one of the players linked with a move to Old Trafford but CalcioMercatoWeb reports that AS Roma have revealed that they will not listen to any offer below €80 million for the Nigerian striker.

Mourinho’s Roma are currently third on the Serie A table, just three points behind second-place Inter, and still have one foot in the Europa league. Despite losing the first-leg match against RB Salzburg, Abraham will be hoping to help the team reach the round-of-16 in the tournament.

The 25-year-old joined the Italian side in 2021 for a reported fee of £34 million with his former side Chelsea having the option to buy him back for £68 million in the next transfer window. The Blues are considering that option, especially with both Man Utd and Aston Villa showing interest.

Should United consider signing Tammy Abraham?
