Manchester United loanee defender Eric Bailly has conveyed that he is match-ready and is no more injury prone.

The Ivorian International had an injury-ridden career during his time at Manchester United, which has continued at his loan club Marseille. Eric Bailly played only seven matches for The Reds last season without netting any goal. His best season still remains back in 2016/17 when he made a total of 42 appearances but from there, it has been a severe downfall for the once-promising defender.

Speaking to French news outlet La Marseillaise, the 28-year-old claimed that he is fully fit now and he has put back his past physical problems. He injured his thigh in a match against Paris Saint Germain in the league and then further aggravated that when facing Spurs in the Champions League. He said:

"“Until now I haven’t been injured too much. But I had a physical problem against PSG. I tried to play the game against Tottenham but it was really too tight and the injury came back. Now it’s settled. I did an important job with the medical staff ”“When you see this team, these supporters and your loved ones asking you to come back, there is frustration, but I have already experienced complicated situations. I hope to be available to the manager until the end of the season.”"

Eric Bailly also served a 7-match suspension for gruesomely injuring Hyeres striker Moussa N’Diaye at the start of January in a Coupe de la Ligue fixture at the Orange Velodrome. The defender expressed his sympathy for the player and said that he went to check on the player in the hospital later. There have been a feeling among the Marseille camp that the situation further worsened for Bailly but he took this time to rehabilitate himself and be ready for the season.

"“ My concern was to have news of the health of the injured player. I got in touch with him, I went to see him. The suspension, I can’t say much about it. »"

Manchester United fans can only feel that Bailly returns from his loan free from injury and becomes a top utility player for next season.
