Manchester United have been heavily linked with Barcelona superstar Ansu Fati with Sport claiming that the Premier League giants are ready to spend big on bringing the No. 10 to Old Trafford this summer.

The Catalan giants are adamant about keeping the La Masia graduate with many believing him to be the next big name in world football, competing with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. The 20-year-old has unfortunately been struggling with injuries that have significantly hampered his growth.

On top of that, Barca boss Xavi Hernandez’s recent lineups have shown a preference for playing a four-man midfield with Gavi as a winger. With Robert Lewandowski the undisputed striker, Fati must now compete for a spot alongside Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele, and Ferran Torres.

While the Spanish international is keen on proving himself at Camp Nou, his agent Jorge Mendes is exploring all options for the next transfer window. Fati has a contract with the La Liga side until 2027 but with Barca needing to reduce their wage bill in order to comply with the league’s regulations and the rumored big-money United is ready to offer for the youngster, Fati might find himself in the Premier League soon.

Fati has made 33 appearances for the Catalan side this season, scoring 6 goals and providing 3 assists, but most of these games have been off the bench. It remains to be seen what the 20-year-old decides regarding his future, but if Erik ten Hag is willing to offer the youngster regular minutes, he may very well be inclined to accept the offer.
