Manchester United managed to have an impressive summer transfer window. And while it is clear that they are not title contenders, judging from their 6-3 loss at the hands of Manchester City, the side have shown signs of improvement under the management of Erik ten Hag and are very much in the top four race.

Of course, that has been helped by the fact that they brought in players like Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Antony, Christian Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia and Martin Dubravka, on loan from Newcastle United.

One player that they had been heavily linked with and were even believed to have agreed a transfer fee for is Adrien Rabiot. But ultimately, they could not get a deal over the line for him, as rumours suggested that the two parties could not reach an agreement over wages.

While the French midfielder might have stayed put in Turin in the summer, he could be on the move soon. His current deal runs out at the end of the season. As reported by Tutto Juve, the Premier League seems to be his most likely destination. Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are the candidates.

Could Manchester United make another attempt to sign Rabiot?

Rabiot has been criticised a lot during his time at Juventus, but this season, he seems to have raised his game and become a vital part of the team.

Of course, one also has to take into account the fact that Juventus have been terrible in recent times. They sit at 8th in the Serie A table and are third in their group in the Champions League, behind both PSG and Benfica by some distance.

It is not expected that Rabiot will end up extending his deal with Juventus. Thus, he will leave as a free agent next summer unless the Italian club are somehow able to agree a new deal or find a club for him in the January transfer window.
