Marcus Rashford has looked like a player reborn for Manchester United this season under the management of Erik ten Hag. There is no doubt that the 2021/22 campaign was a disaster for him but he seems to have turned things around for himself and is now producing the goods on the pitch once again. A match-winning brace against Arsenal was a fine example of that.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Rashford has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 6 appearances this season. And as a result, he is firmly back in the starting XI once again.

That is great news for Manchester United. Rashford is one of the most mercurial talents that the club has produced in a long time but it had started to look like he had lost his way. But it is great to see him now back in form and effecting football matches.

As reported by the Independent, Ten Hag has credited happiness for being the reason behind Rashford’s upturn in form this season as the manager said:

"“I see a happy Marcus Rashford… we worked really hard the last two-and-a-half months with him… It started with happiness.”"

Manchester United: Ten Hag speaks on the reason behind Rashford’s upturn in form

Rashford is an important part of this Manchester United team once again and if they are to have a successful campaign, the Englishman will need to be on top form throughout.

Manchester United might be playing some very good football at the moment, but we have been here before. There have been way too many false dawns since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson as manager.

Thus, it is safe to say that it will be important for Manchester United to continue performing like this on the long-term, if this is to turn out a successful season for them. Let’s see where things go from here. But the start under the management of Ten Hag has certainly been promising for a variety of reasons.
