Erik ten Hag left impressed by Manchester United duo
Manchester United made a disastrous start to the season with convincing losses in their first two games. But since then, they have brought things back on track and won three straight games. That means that they are ahead of the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in the Premier League table. On top of that, the likes of Casemiro and Antony are yet to be properly integrated into the team.
Thus, things are looking up for Manchester United for sure, who got a 1-0 win away at Leicester City in midweek. Brendan Rodgers’ side have not been good this season and currently find themselves sitting at the bottom of the table, the position that had been occupied by the Red Devils after the first two matchdays.
Jadon Sancho was the one who got the winning goal for Manchester United against the Foxes. On the other hand, it was Marcus Rashford who assisted it.
It is safe to say that both Sancho and Rashford have made great starts this season, after they had disappointing 2021/22 campaigns. And the duo seem to have left Ten Hag impressed. As tweeted out by Steven Railston, the manager told MUTV:
"“I’m really happy for him [Sancho] and also the assist for Rashford is great. It is the reward, they both work really hard, they invested a lot in pre-season and they do lot for the team with their pressing.”"
Ten Hag has been left impressed by Manchester United duo
It is safe to say that Manchester United fans must be delighted to see both Sancho and Rashford doing so well. They are two of the most highly-rated youngsters at the club right now and could be a big part of this team for years to come, if they can continue performing like this.
Of course, we are just five games into the Premier League season by now and as a result, it is way too early to come to any judgements and we can only hope that they can keep up these performance levels throughout the campaign.
Manchester United have a tough game coming up next against Arsenal, who are flying high and sitting at the top of the table.
