Manchester United on verge of making £84 million signing
Manchester United’s transfer business has certainly picked up pace, after the Red Devils struggled for most of the summer transfer window. The Red Devils managed to complete a shock move for Casemiro, bringing him in from Real Madrid in a deal that could rise up to £70 million, after a long chase for Frenkie de Jong’s signature appeared to lead nowhere.
And now, it looks like there could still be more big moves to come from Manchester United this summer.
As reported by The Sun, Antony is on the brink of becoming an £84 million Manchester United signing. The Red Devils are understood to have met Ajax’s huge asking price for the Brazil winger. They are confident they can get a deal over the line by paying an initial transfer fee of £74 million, plus a further £10m in potential add-ons.
It goes without saying that signing someone like Antony could prove to be a major coup for Manchester United. Not only has he proved himself in both domestic competitions but in Europe in recent times, but Erik ten Hag also knows how to get the best out of him from their time working together in Ajax.
Manchester United are on the verge of signing Antony from Ajax in mega deal
Let’s see if Manchester United are finally about to get a deal for Antony over the line, after it has looked like they have been chasing his signature all summer-long.
The Brazilian winger is still just 22 years of age and will bring a different dimension to this Manchester United forward line, which they seem to have been missing in recent times.
Of course, that might not be the end of Manchester United’s summer transfer business either, as it is believed that the Red Devils are still on the lookout for a goalkeeper and a right-back, and potentially even De Jong, if he decides to move to Old Trafford.
