Jurgen Klopp makes huge admission after losing vs Manchester United
Manchester United pulled a rabbit out of the hat by beating Liverpool 2-1. Now, while previous encounters between the two sides had been massively one-sided, with Jurgen Klopp’s side well and truly dominating the Red Devils, the situation was quite different coming into this game.
Yes, Manchester United had lost both their games, but then, Liverpool were winless as well and in fact, lucky to have drawn both of their games.
In what was the first feather in Erik ten Hag’s cap as Manchester United manager, goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford were enough to secure all three points for the Red Devils, as Mohamed Salah’s goal proved to be a mere consolation.
While the result has come as a huge relief and boost for Manchester United, it must have sent alarm bells ringing amongst Liverpool supporters, as their side lost against a team that had been convincingly beaten 4-0 by Brentford in the previous matchday. As reported by Eurosport, Jurgen Klopp told Sky Sports:
"“We are in a tricky situation injury wise.“We got through the week with 14, 15 senior players available and now have to make sure they don’t get injured.“I am concerned about our situation, but that is how it is. We prepare for Bournemouth and Newcastle now.”"
Klopp makes Liverpool admission after suffering defeat vs Manchester United
It is safe to say that Liverpool are in trouble at the moment, having picked up two points from their first three games, and were probably the worse team in all three of them.
They will probably be fine come the end of the season though, once their players are fit and they find their rhythm.
On the other hand though, this result is a huge boost for Manchester United, who needed it a lot more than Liverpool did.
Things are looking up for the club now. Not only have they managed to beat Liverpool at Old Trafford to give the fans something to cheer about but the club have also signed Casemiro from Real Madrid and he could improve their midfield drastically. Further additions are expected as well.
