Manchester United have a number of players who might not get a lot of first-team chances this season, under the management of Erik ten Hag. One such player is believed to be Aaron Wan-Bissaka. It is hard to see how the right-back would fit into the Dutch manager’s style of football.

Manchester United had signed Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2019 in a deal believed to be around £50 million. He showed a ton of promise early on as well, and defensively, he remains very good.

It is on the other end of the pitch that the problem lies though. Wan-Bissaka just has not been able to develop the attacking side of his game. He was a regular under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but struggled to get into the team when Ralf Rangnick arrived. And Diogo Dalot is expected to be ahead of him in Ten Hag’s pecking order at right-back.

As reported by Sky Sports, Crystal Palace are interested in re-signing Wan-Bissaka on loan from Manchester United.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Wan-Bissaka made 26 appearances for Manchester United last season, without scoring or assisting.

He is still just 24 years of age though and has time to develop his game. Thus, maybe a spell away on loan at Crystal Palace might benefit him.

One has to remember that he was one of Premier League’s most highly-rated youngsters, while he was at Crystal Palace.

On the other hand, if Wan-Bissaka does indeed leave on loan, Manchester United might need to bring in some reinforcements at right-back. They would still have Dalot but beyond the Portuguese star, there would be no real depth in the position. Let’s see how things unfold in the Wan-Bissaka transfer saga over the upcoming weeks.
