Most of the recent rumours surrounding Manchester United have been about potential incomings. The club need a major squad overhaul this summer and till now, have managed to sign Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez. At the moment, they are also being linked with players like Frenkie de Jong, Antony and several others.

On the other hand, there could be some players, who could be on their way out of Old Trafford this summer as well. One of them could be Eric Bailly.

When Bailly arrived at Manchester United in the summer of 2016 from Villarreal, many expected him to develop into one of the top defenders in world football. Unfortunately, that has not happened, largely thanks to his injury problems and lack of first-team opportunities in recent years. With the club adding Martinez to their ranks this summer, his playing time is expected to be further reduced and as a result, it would not be any surprise to see him leave in this window.

As reported by The Sun, Bailly is in talks with Sevilla over a move away from Old Trafford this summer. Jose Mourinho is also believed to be keen on a reunion with him, at AS Roma. AC Milan also appear to be keeping tabs on the situation.

It will be very interesting to see where things go from here but it is pretty clear that a move away from Old Trafford looks like the most likely next step for Bailly.

Also, one has to admit that it might be the best option available as well, and could be the best solution for all parties involved.

There does not seem to be any lack of interest in the signature of the Ivory Coast international, who still has a lot of unfulfilled potential.
