Manchester United have added Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez to their squad till now. All of them could prove to be good additions to the team and hopefully will make an impact as soon as possible. But it is pretty clear that the Red Devils need to continue making signings this summer if they are to have any chance of competing for silverware.

One area that is a particular worry for them is striker. Manchester United struggled for goals last season despite having some of the biggest names in Europe in their squad.

On top of that, it looks like Cristiano Ronaldo could end up leaving this summer in search of Champions League football, something that Manchester United cannot offer him, having finished sixth last season. It remains to be seen if it does end up happening though, with names like Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG and Real Madrid not seeming to be particularly interested in signing the Portuguese legend.

On the other hand, as reported by Mirror, Manchester United have no intention of letting Anthony Martial go despite Juventus identifying him as a summer transfer target.

Martial has struggled badly for form and fitness over the past few years, after finishing as Manchester United’s top scorer in the 2019/20 season.

Things have looked different in pre-season though as Martial has been quite impressive, finding the back of the net consistently, and seems to have played his way into Erik ten Hag’s plans.

There has never been any question about Martial’s talent or ability. He has never been able to perform consistently though and it will be interesting to see if that changes under the management of Ten Hag.

A few years back, Martial seemed destined to depart Manchester United this summer. But now, it looks like he could be handed another chance to succeed at the Theatre of Dreams.
