Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United is clouded at best right now. All the rumours suggest that the Portuguese superstar is looking for a way out of Old Trafford, after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League. Clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea have been linked with a potential move for him, but nothing has transpired till now.

It is safe to say that the situation is far from ideal for Manchester United, as they do not have any other reliable goalscorer in their squad right now, and the longer this transfer saga drags on, the more difficult it will be for them to find a replacement, if Ronaldo did indeed leave the club this summer.

Interestingly, if rumours are true, it does not look like PSG, Bayern Munich or Chelsea are showing a lot of interest in signing Ronaldo at that moment. It must be remembered that he is 37 years of age and was not particularly impressive last season. But the Portuguese legend might have a significant offer from elsewhere.

As reported by CNN Portugal, Ronaldo has received a proposal to play in Saudi Arabia which would see Manchester United receive €30 million for the transfer, while the Portuguese international would get €250 million in salaries, divided over two seasons and €20 million would be for intermediaries.

Ronaldo reportedly receives stunning offer to leave Manchester United

It goes without saying that this is a huge offer for any player in the world, even Ronaldo, but one has to question whether he would want to play in Saudi Arabia.

One of the biggest reasons that he is believed to be looking to leave Manchester United is because the Red Devils do not have Champions League football to offer. If he did end up moving to Saudi Arabia, that would be completely off the table.

Let’s see what the future holds for Ronaldo but never say never in football.
