Manchester United need to strengthen up front this summer. Edinson Cavani has left the club after the end of his contract. On the other hand, there are serious doubts over the future of Cristiano Ronaldo as well, as it looks like the Portuguese legend could be looking to depart Old Trafford, just a year after completing a blockbuster return to the club.

On the other hand, there do not seem to be any other options at the club who could be reliable goalscorers, if Ronaldo did end up leaving as well.

Thus, the situation is not great for the Red Devils and they should try to bring in a striker this summer and it looks like Erik ten Hag wants to bring a RB Leipzig striker, who he will know well from their time together at Ajax.

As reported by BILD, Ten Hag wants to bring Brian Brobbey to England. On the other hand, RB Leipzig are believed to be ready to let him go and could be looking for a transfer fee around €15 million.

Ten Hag wants to bring RB Leipzig striker to Manchester United

Brobbey spent a brilliant loan spell at Ajax last season after struggling to make an impact at RB Leipzig. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 7 goals in 11 Eredivisie appearances.

Thus, it looks like Ten Hag is a manager who knows how to get the best out of Brobbey and although he is not someone who can be the first-choice striker for Manchester United immediately, he has plenty of time to grow into that role. The Dutch youth international is just 20 years of age and has plenty of time to develop.

It had looked like he was set to return to Ajax on a permanent basis this summer, after failing to make his mark at RB Leipzig, but now, with Manchester United entering the race for Brobbey’s signature, things have certainly gotten a lot more interesting.
