Manchester United need to refresh their squad. The Red Devils have not won a single piece of silverware over the past five seasons now and with Erik ten Hag arriving as manager, there are a number of changes expected at the Theatre of Dreams. But while most of the recent rumours have surrounded arrivals, there are several players who will have to head in the opposite direction as well.

The likes of Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic are some of the high profile names on their way out of the club, but there are several more players who could join them.

One of them could be Tahith Chong, who was very highly rated while coming through the youth ranks but has not been able to break into the senior team picture. He has spent several spells out on loan but has never really managed to have an incredible breakout campaign.

As reported by 1908.nl (via Inside Futbol), Feyenoord have an interest in signing Chong from Manchester United.

Feyenoord are interested in signing Manchester United player

Manchester United are believed to be closing in on a move for Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia, but on the other hand, it looks like Chong could potentially head in the opposite direction sometime over the summer if a deal can be reached.

Chong was part of the Feyenoord youth ranks in the past, before moving to Manchester United in the summer of 2016.

Chong was absolutely brilliant during his time in the youth set up at Manchester United but has not been able to make the jump and become a regular feature in the senior team, even though he has been given some chances over the years.

With his current deal running out in the summer of 2023, it might be time for Manchester United to consider Chong’s long-term future.
