Manchester United making progress in bid to sign Ajax star
With Erik ten Hag joining Manchester United as their new manager, it is no surprise that the club have been linked with a series of players from Ajax in recent times. The Dutchman enjoyed a brilliant time managing them over the past several years, establishing them as the dominant side in the Netherlands once again while also guiding them to a Champions League semi-finals against all expectations.
Now, Manchester United fans will be hoping that Ten Hag can do the same with the Red Devils as well, but for that to happen, the club will need to back him in the summer transfer window and bring in players who can make an impact.
One such player could be Antony. The 22-year-old Brazilian winger made a huge impression while playing under the management of Ten Hag at Ajax last season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 33 appearances. And there appears to be some good news for Manchester United fans in the race to sign him.
As reported by GOAL, Manchester United are making progress in their bid to sign Antony from Ajax.

Not only has Antony caught the eye with his effectiveness during his time at Ajax but with his incredible skills as well and he can be a super hit if he ends up at Old Trafford.
It remains to be seen how things turn out but someone like Antony might be exactly what Manchester United need at this point of time. Someone who has the vision and bravery to make something happen out of nothing.
It could take a transfer fee around €60 million to seal a move for Antony though, which means that there would be a great amount of risk involved for Manchester United as well.
