Manchester United have a major rebuild on their hands this summer. It does feel like the club have been going through one rebuild after the other over the course of the past several years, since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. But that is just the reality of the situation. The club have given the managerial keys to the likes of David Moyes, Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal, Ralf Rangnick and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the years. None of them have succeeded in taking the Red Devils back to the top.

Now, it is Erik ten Hag’s turn to show that he is up to the task. Of course, the Dutchman has done a spectacular job at Ajax. But Manchester United will be a whole different ball game for sure.

The club will have to let Ten Hag rebuild the squad in his own vision though. As a result, several incomings and outgoings are expected at Old Trafford over the course of the summer. One man who does appear to have a future at the club though is Diogo Dalot.

As reported by O Jogo (via Mirror), Dalot is a part of Ten Hag’s plans next year.

It is safe to say that Dalot has had an up and down time since joining Manchester United, during the time of Mourinho as manager.

He never got a real chance to show what he was capable of while Solskjaer was the manager. He has impressed when he has been on the pitch and it looks like Ten Hag will give him the opportunity next season to stake his claim for a spot.

Of course, it will be up to the Portuguese full-back to show that he can be a part of Manchester United’s team moving forward.

On the other hand though, one has to wonder what this means for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and his future at the Theatre of Dreams. Since Solskjaer’s departure, he has had a tough time for sure.
