One of the biggest issues that Manchester United have had this season has been the form of Marcus Rashford. The Englishman had started to become a leader for the club in recent years but his performances have taken a huge dip this time around, as he has struggled to make an impact for the Red Devils.

Naturally, questions have been raised about his long-term future at the club as it looks like a Manchester United exit for Rashford is no longer out of question even though it might have been unthinkable not too long ago.

It would be very interesting to see where he ends up, if he does indeed leave Manchester United. Rashford has been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona in the past, but now, it looks like one of the Red Devils’ Premier League rivals have joined the race for his signature as well.

As reported by Football Insider, Rashford is a leading target for Arsenal, who have set aside more than £45 million to sign a frontman this summer capable of slotting straight into Mikel Arteta’s team.

What does the future hold for Rashford at Manchester United?

Rashford has been incredible for Manchester United at times but we have not seen him perform at that level for a while now. In fact, it has looked like he has taken a few steps back in recent years. Thus, could he potentially be headed out of the club.

A lot would depend on Erik ten Hag, who is going to be the next manager of Manchester United, and where he sees Rashford in his plans. Thus, it would be wrong to any conclusions before the Dutchman arrives at Old Trafford in the summer.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have shown some very promising progress under the management of Arteta this season after being completely written off early on in the campaign and it looks like they could be headed for a top four finish, although Tottenham Hotspur are very much in the running as well and it remains to be seen if Chelsea will slip up.
