Some huge news broke out recently as rumours emerged that Manchester United had interviewed Erik ten Hag regarding the Old Trafford job, with the hot seat set to be vacant when Ralf Rangnick’s interim run comes to an end in the summer. The Dutch manager has been heavily linked with the Red Devils for quite some time now and it is not hard to see why.

Ten Hag has done a sensational job as the Ajax manager. He was the mastermind behind their run to the Champions League semi-finals a few years back and had them playing brilliant football in Europe this season as well, while they have become the dominant team in Dutch football once again.

Thus, there is no question about the fact that Ten Hag is a great manager. But it looks like he is not the only one that Manchester United have their eyes on.

As reported by the Express, speaking on the United We Stand Podcast, Andy Mitten revealed that Manchester United have now spoken to two managers other than Ten Hag.

The managers were not named. But it must be said that Manchester United have been linked with quite a long list of names when it comes to their vacant managerial spot.

Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique, Julen Lopetegui, Carlo Ancelotti and several other managers have been linked with the Old Trafford job over the last few weeks and months.

It will be interesting to see who ultimately ends up becoming the Manchester United manager. But whoever it is, will have quite a task on his hands. The Red Devils have not won a single trophy in five years now and have not even been close to competing for the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
