Manchester United find themselves in a very difficult position right now, with the club set to undergo their fifth consecutive trophyless season this time around, as they have been knocked out from every cup competition and could have a tough time even finishing in the top four in the Premier League. In addition to this, the club look likely to lose some of their top players in the summer.

Paul Pogba could be one of them, with his current deal running out at the end of the season. He joined Manchester United in 2016 for a then record-breaking transfer fee around £89 million.

But despite his incredible talent, his spell in England has not proved to be very successful, with the midfield maestro only lifting a Europa League, a League Cup and a Community Shield during his second stint at Manchester United till now. There has not been any league title or Champions League glory for him at Old Trafford.

Pogba’s contract at Manchester United expires in the summer of 2023, meaning the Frenchman will be a free agent soon. And it looks like the club have already started looking at potential replacements for the midfielder, if he does indeed depart.

Manchester United are eyeing Ryan Gravenberch as Pogba’s replacement

As reported by The Athletic (via TEAMtalk), if Erik ten Hag is appointed as Manchester United manager, the club could quickly make a move for Ryan Gravenberch as well.

However, the road to signing the Dutchman would not be an easy one, as Bayern Munich are believed to be a potential destination for Gravenberch.

Despite being a teenager, Gravenberch has established himself as a regular in the Ajax team and has been dominant in the Eredivisie already, earning rave reviews for his performances. And he has also made several appearances for the Netherlands national team.
