Manchester United look almost certain to finish another campaign without a trophy. The trophyless run is set to extend to five seasons now, something that would have been unthinkable a decade ago. The general feeling around the club is that a lot of changes will be made in the summer at Old Trafford, on the pitch as well as in the dugout.

There are suggestions that the likes of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Edinson Cavani could be on their way out of Old Trafford as free agents.

Furthermore, the uncertain futures of players like Anthony Martial, Cristiano Ronaldo, Donny van de Beek, and more, could end up leaving significant gaps in the squad.

Amidst all this, rumours of Marcus Rashford considering the possibility of leaving Manchester United will worry the fans. There have been suggestions that the Englishman is unhappy with his current role with the club, as he has struggled for playing time since the arrival of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager.

Liverpool and Barcelona linked with Manchester United star

As reported by Manchester Evening News, Liverpool have made it known that they are admirers of Rashford while Barcelona would be interested in signing him as well.

Rashford’s contract with Manchester United runs out in the summer of 2023, although the club are believed to have an option to extend it by an additional year.

The 2021/22 season has been underwhelming for Rashford, who has failed to make an impact, following his return after undergoing surgery, earlier on in the campaign.

Since the arrival of Rangnick, Rashford has not looked like an undisputed starter at Manchester United, something that he had been in the past. And after struggling for playing time in recent weeks and months, it is not hard to see why the Englishman might be considering his long-term future at Old Trafford.
