Manchester United have been linked with several players over the past few months as it has become pretty clear that the squad might end up undergoing a transformation in the upcoming summer transfer window. While the Red Devils have a star-studded team, that has not translated to the pitch. If they do not win the Champions League this season, it will be their fifth straight campaign without a trophy.

That is not a position that the club would want to be in. As a result, along with a new permanent manager in the summer, several new players could come in as well.

One such player is Tino Livramento, who had been a standout in the Chelsea youth setup and has been impressive since moving to Southampton.

His performances appear to have caught the eyes of several Premier League clubs including Manchester United. But it looks like Livramento might be looking to remain at Southampton for another year at least. As reported by GiveMeSport, journalist Tom Barclay said:

"“I’m told that Southampton are very keen to at least keep him for another year and I think Livramento thinks that’s a good idea as well.”"

Manchester United target Livramento wants to remain at Southampton

Right-back is a position that Manchester United could certainly do with some options in. Aaron Wan-Bissaka was expected to be the future of the club there but has not been able to develop his game going forward.

Diogo Dalot has come in in his place since the arrival of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager and done a good job to be very honest. But is he someone who can be the first-choice right-back for the club for years to come?

Livramento is someone who has been immensely impressive for Southampton and might already be ready for a big move elsewhere. But, it looks like he will remain at the club for at least one more season before assessing his other options, which might be a smart thing to do, considering he is just 19 years of age.
