It is safe to say that Jadon Sancho’s start at Manchester United was underwhelming. During his time at Borussia Dortmund, he had been one of the most effective and exciting wingers on the planet. He did not seem to be anywhere near that in his first few months at Old Trafford, failing to either score or assist, and his impact on the team did not appear to be a positive one.

Most Manchester United fans were patient though, as the youngster had moved to a new league and needed time to adjust. And that patience appears to be paying off now.

While there might not be a lot of positives around Old Trafford right now, one of them is certainly the return to form of Sancho, as he has arguably been Manchester United’s most effective player in recent times. And finally, it feels like he can be a big part of the Red Devils’ first-team picture for years to come.

Amidst all this, he has admitted though how players from Chelsea and Liverpool had tried to convince him to join their club. As reported by football.london, Sancho told Sky Sport Deutschland:

"“I met Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw with the national team. They always said: ‘Come to United’.“There were also the guys from Chelsea and Liverpool, who all tried to convince me their club, but it only really got serious after Euro 2020.”"

While the start might have been a stumble from Sancho, it is clear that he has managed to regain his balance and is sprinting right now.

Sancho has always been considered one of the top talents in England and in world football overall, and he is now showing everyone why with his recent performances.

He is quite some way away from showing the kind of form that he did at Borussia Dortmund though and the ultimate aim must be to get even better than he was in Germany. Of course, he has plenty of time on his hands to develop and get better.
