The upcoming match between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur is incredibly important for both sides. Both of them find themselves in a tough race to finish in the top four of the Premier League and this is a classic six-pointer of a game. Thus, it is safe to say that it will be very interesting to see how things turn out and a lot could depend of the result, and could have major implications on how the table looks come the end of the season.

Ralf Rangnick has steadied the Manchester United ship since coming in and they have proven much more difficult to beat. For them though, the problem has been the sheer number of draws. The Red Devils need to find a way to turn these into wins.

On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a brilliant start under Antonio Conte but since then, their performances and results have slipped significantly.

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a triple blow heading into the game against Manchester Untied as well. As reported by football.london, Conte said:

"“Bad news about Ryan Sessegnon. He had a scan and a muscular problem. Maybe we’ll see him after the international break. About Skipp and Tanganga, they are not ready. We have to wait.”"

It is safe to say that the situation is not ideal for Tottenham Hotspur. But that does not mean that Manchester United do not have their own problems as well.

Ultimately, this could turn out to be a very close game between two teams that are competing directly with each other to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season and secure a spot in next season’s Champions League.

For Manchester United, things are a bit more positive as they are still in this season’s Champions League and in a good position against Atletico Madrid, having managed to get a 1-1 draw away at Wanda Metropolitano in the first leg in their round of 16 tie.
