Manchester United find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation right now. It is very possible that they club might finish trophyless and outside of the top four this season. Naturally, that would be expected to have an effect on their ability to bring in a world-class manager and players in the summer. On top of that, there are several key stars who could head for the Old Trafford exit door soon.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani are two of them. The Portuguese legend is struggling right now and has been linked with a move away for the past few months. On the other hand, the Uruguayan’s current deal runs out in the summer and he is expected to leave after that.

On top of that, there are questions over the future of Marcus Rashford as well and thus, Manchester United might be in urgent need of bringing in a striker soon.

As reported by CaughtOffside, Matt Judge, head of transfers, has recently held talks with the representatives of Everton’s Richarlison. It could take a transfer fee between £60 million and £70 million to sign him.

Manchester United have eyes on Everton’s Richarlison

It is safe to say that Everton are in a bad position right now. They are very much in the middle of a relegation battle, sitting at 17th and just one point ahead of Burnley.

Thus, if the Merseyside club were to drop down to the Championship, they might have very little choice but to part ways with some of their best players. Richarlison would most probably be amongst them.

Richarlison has enjoyed a decent time since joining Everton in 2018. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 47 goals and provided 12 assists in 139 appearances for the club.

Thus, he could prove to be a solid signing for Manchester United. Is he good enough to be the main man for the Red Devils though?
