Manchester United must try to sign Serie A superstar

Manchester United will need to strengthen all over the pitch if they are to challenge for the Premier League title any time in the near future. There were high hopes that this season could be the one when the Red Devils establish themselves as title contenders once again, after signing superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane in the summer, but that has not been the case.

Instead, it looks like the club have taken a big step or two back. They suffered early round eliminations from both the League Cup and the FA Cup, and while they might have finished second in the Premier League last season, this time around, it looks like they will have a tough time finishing even in the top four.

Thus, it is safe to say that a summer rebuild could be on the way. And one area that Manchester United might need to bring in immediate reinforcements in is their midfield.

In that respect, there are few options available, who would be better than Franck Kessie. In fact, the Ivory Coast international might even leave AC Milan as a free agent in the summer.

Kessie has been one of the best midfielders in Serie A for a long time now. But his current deal with AC Milan runs out in the summer.

The club and the player have not been able to agree to a new deal yet, and that has appeared to have an effect on his performances this season.

But, there is no question about Kessie’s talent or potential, and if he becomes available, especially as a free agent, Manchester United must definitely make a move. There is expected to be competition for his signature though, with Barcelona also believed to be interested.
