Manchester United’s season has been filled with ups and downs. More downs than ups to be honest, but it is still possible for them to have a successful campaign, if things go their way over the next couple of months. Of course, in that regard, the Champions League is their biggest hope. The club are in a good position in that competition, with an 1-1 away draw against Atletico Madrid from the first leg of their Round of 16 tie.

If the Red Devils are not able to win it though, it looks like they will end their fifth straight campaign without a single piece of silverware.

Manchester United can draw a lot of inspiration from some of the Champions League winners in recent years, who were also forced into changing managers in the middle of their campaigns.

If Manchester United are to have a successful season, there are quite a few areas that they will need to improve upon.

Manchester United: Ralf Rangnick’s 3 biggest problems right now

Here are the three biggest problems that Manchester United are facing right now and Ralf Rangnick will need to find the solutions as soon as possible:

Turning draws into wins

One thing that Rangnick deserves a lot of credit for is improving Manchester United’s defence. The Red Devils were extremely leaky at the start of their campaign.

They have improved a lot in that respect since the arrival of Rangnick as interim manager though and now, seem to be capable of keeping clean sheets or reduce the opposition to just a goal on most occasions.

Hopefully, things will continue on an upward trajectory in this respect for a while now. The signs are bright for what is to come in the future.

But where Manchester United appear to be struggling right now, is scoring more often than they are conceding, resulting in a number of games ending up in draws.
