Manchester United will know that every Premier League game for them, from now until the end of the season, is very important. They have improved since the arrival of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager but there is still a long way to go if they are to finish in the top four. The Red Devils have become a much more difficult side to beat, but they are still not getting enough wins of their own, with a number of games ending in draws.

It was the 4-1 defeat the hands of Watford that had led to the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier on in the season. Now, it will interesting to see how Rangnick does when Manchester United come up against them, this time at Old Trafford.

Manchester United are heavy favourites going into the game, with Watford sitting in 19th and struggling to get out of the relegation zone.

They have been handed a double blow going into the game though, with Edinson Cavani and Scott McTominay set to miss out. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, Rangnick said:

"“He [Cavani] hasn’t been training with us so he won’t be available for tomorrow’s game and the same is true with Scotty. He is still ill, he hasn’t been training with us, so hopefully he will start training with us again next week, but for tomorrow’s game they will both be unavailable.”"

It is safe to say that the situation is far from ideal for Manchester United as other sides seem more likely than them to finish in the top four of the Premier League. But then, there is quite some way to go in this campaign and it does feel like the Red Devils still have room to improve.

Manchester United will have to keep getting positive results from their own games and not delve too much about what is happening around them in the table.

This game against Watford is a good opportunity for them to get a big result and potentially boost their goal difference as well, as it could prove to be vital come the end of the season.
