Ralf Rangnick has not made the impact that Manchester United would have been hoping for, even though there have been clear signs of improvement in some areas. As a result, it is expected that the club will go for a permanent manager next summer when the German’s interim run in the Old Trafford hot seat comes to an end. And it will be interesting to see who they end up bringing in.

A number of top managers have been linked with the club in recent times. Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers, Luis Enrique, Simone Inzaghi and more names have been floating about in the rumour mill.

But, amidst all of them, Mauricio Pochettino has always appeared to be the favourite to get the Manchester United job. The club have been linked with him for years, since back when he was at Tottenham Hotspur.

But it looks like the Red Devils have been handed a major blow. As reported by SPORT, Pochettino has already turned down Manchester United. The Argentine is believed to have an eye on Real Madrid.

Pochettino has already turned down Manchester United

Pochettino is currently the manager of Paris Saint-Germain but he has struggled to get the best out of their incredible squad this season. As a result, many expect him to be shown the exit door, unless the French giants end up winning the Champions League.

On the other hand, Carlo Ancelotti finds himself in an uncertain situation at Real Madrid as well and if the club are unable to lift some silverware this season, the club could decide to part ways with the Italian for the second time.

Coming to Manchester United, the Champions League is their only remaining hope of winning a trophy this season. And it remains to be seen what happens regarding the managerial situation.
